Anxiety and Depression

I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, including major depression, seasonal affective disorder (SAD), and Bipolar II Disorder. (Bipolar I patients are encouraged to find a psychiatrist near where they live and who is seeing patients in person.) I also have years of experience treating co-occurring or ‘dual diagnosis’ disorders — for example, depression plus a substance use problem.

If your anxiety or mood problems feel disabling and are interfering with work, relationships, or your therapy work, as a physician I can also evaluate you for medications that might give you the extra support you need to get through the work of therapy.
